GEM ARTICLES
are short (usually – sometimes more in depth) stories and descriptions about individual gems, primarily about their subject, but also, often, including information about their material, copies, forgeries, casts and/or impressions. Each page, accessed by the links in the list to the right, is a summary of an article written by others or one authored by us. When acquiring a new piece or perusing literature, we often research it’s background and history; this is a collection of the results of those efforts.
COLLECTIONS
are pages that present information about where an enthusiast can find groups of ENGRAVED GEMS. They range from the well known such as The Getty and The British Museum to to relatively obscure such as those in private hands. Each page, accessed by the links in the list to the left, is a summary of the collection with links, where available, to access it.
MyI COLLECTION
is a compilation of info gathered while researching individual pieces in the MyI collection. Similar to GEM ARTICLES, each usually contains references to identical, or at least very similar, pieces and, perhaps, historical comparisons of the subject and original ENGRAVED GEM.
